The Goal &
Success Tracker
A spreadsheet, not a worksheet. Every brand deal in one place, from the first email to the money landing. It tells you what you’re owed, how much of that is already late, and whether the audience underneath it is actually growing.
Prices are in US dollars. If you’re in the EU or the UK, VAT is added at checkout at your country’s rate, and it’s collected and paid by the checkout, not by me.
Have a look inside
Four of the twelve sheets.
Not a mock-up. These are actual pages.
Arrow keys move between them.
What’s in it
Twelve sheets. If a cell is yellow, it’s yours.
Start here
What every tab is for, one line each. Plus the two date traps. YouTube changed how views are counted, and Instagram changed what “views” means.
Setup
Handle, platform, follower tier, start month, organic rate, your income and follower goals, and the cut an agent takes if somebody takes one.
Goals
Money booked, money received, deals closed and followers, each against its target, by year and by quarter. You never update it, it reads from the sheets below.
Deals
200 rows, one per deal. Brand, who’s in the middle, deliverables, base fee, usage, exclusivity, add-ons, currency and exchange rate, then gross, the commission an agent takes and what’s net to you, then invoice, terms and due date. Paid rows go green. Overdue rows go red.
Payments & Cashflow
Payments logs money the day it clears, against the deal it belongs to, so one deal can carry several. Cashflow puts money in by month against money out, with a running total.
Monthly
Five yellow cells a month, straight off your own insights. Followers, posts, reach, engagements and income. Two worked example rows are already filled in.
Dashboard
Reads Deals, Payments and Monthly, and turns them into plain sentences telling you what to do.
What to charge
The rate calculator, built into the file. The same bands, multipliers and curve as the one on this site. What the market supports, not a guarantee.
Benchmarks
Engagement rates by platform and tier, with the source next to every single one.
Quarterly & Method
Four questions every three months. And a Method sheet showing how every figure, the money included, is worked out.
The bit that makes it different
Agreed money and money in your account are two different numbers.
Most creators only track one of them, and it’s usually the flattering one.
Booked is what a brand said yes to. Received is what has cleared. The gap between the two is invoices sitting in somebody’s accounts inbox, and it can run for months without you noticing.
So the tracker keeps both, separately, the whole way through.
It also flags when the income you typed on Monthly disagrees with the payments you logged.
What the dashboard said on a test file
“You are owed $2,200 that is past its due date. That is not a sales problem, it is a chasing problem, and it is the fastest money you will collect this week.”
And the other one
Everyone quotes an engagement rate. Almost nobody says which one.
It’s worth real money in a negotiation.
There are at least six different formulas in common use. Some divide by followers, some by reach, some count saves and shares, some don’t.
Engagement rate has no single agreed formula. Some divide by followers, some by reach, some count saves and shares and some do not. Two published averages for the same platform can differ by an order of magnitude purely because of that.
What this tracker does about it
It uses engagements ÷ reach, consistently, everywhere. That is the formula this tracker uses throughout.
The Benchmarks sheet only compares you against sources that use the same denominator, and lists the ones that don’t, with their actual formula next to them.
It opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. Nothing to install, no account, no subscription. Every sheet prints one page across.
Honestly
Who this is for, and who it isn’t.
Get it if
- Your deals live in your inbox, your notes app and your head, and nowhere else
- A brand asked for your engagement rate and you weren’t sure which number to give
- You want to know what you earn per thousand reach, not just what you earned
Skip it if
- You want it to grow your account for you. It measures, it doesn’t post
- You want it to raise the invoice and chase it. You still write the email
- You want it to connect to Instagram automatically. It doesn’t, on purpose. No account access, no permissions, nothing to revoke
- You won’t open it again after week two. Be honest with yourself
- You want positioning or content advice. That’s in the workbooks
The list
